PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITMENT
David's love of his city and lifelong commitment to bringing people together, compelled him to run for district city council four years ago. He won his race and immediately got to work - listening to residents, bringing people together, and continuing to build an even stronger community.
Whether it was creating task forces such as LORAX, addressing critical concerns such as the opioid crisis, engaging creating more government transparency and civic engagement, or ensuring Salem development was planned carefully to benefit residents, David is proud of the accomplishments this leadership position afforded him, and especially proud of the partnerships across the city that have made it all possible.
WHY DAVID'S RUNNING AT-LARGE
David is running for an at-large seat today because he knows the power of community members coming together to address shared concerns. David knows that together we can make local government more transparent and accessible, ensure our city agencies – our police, fire, public services, and local schools – have the resources they need to function well for families and children, and expand programs such as LORAX to improve the beauty of our city and our quality of life.
And, just as David and Chad were immediately welcomed into this community when they first arrived, David will continue fostering a welcoming atmosphere for new and old residents alike.
